Everyone who works with children encounters behaviors that can be challenging to address. In this session, we will discuss the importance of responding to those moments in calm, respectful ways that can support children and strengthen relationship. Participants will learn practical de-escalation strategies and supportive language that can help children – and adults – regulate emotions in the moment. This interactive session focuses on realistic tools educators can use right away to choose intentional responses that teach skills rather than simply stopping behavior.
